Holy Greetings, VBS Attendees, Parents, Guardians
And Well Wishers!
After much prayer and consideration and in consultation with our Bishop Myles, we have decided to cancelled VBS for this year. We want you to know that we did not take this decision lightly and realize it will be disappointing to our kids, who have loved each year’s themes, lessons, music, craft, VBS Store and outdoor activities; as well as to the many parents, who have enjoyed bringing their kids and grandkids to VBS. We do believe, however, that it is the right decision at this time.
As you might imagine, our VBS team works hard to plan and prepare many weeks in advance of our VBS event. Under the present circumstances, the required preparation would be very difficult. There would also be an incredible challenge to keep the children in line with social distancing and other guidelines. With the safety of our children, families, and volunteers in mind, we have decided not to carry on with VBS as usually planned. In addition, with so much of our return to in-person gatherings still uncertain, it was best to cancel, rather than postpone VBS.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our many volunteers who have labored to make our VBS a success over the years. Rest assured, we’ll need you again in 2021! In the meantime, lets continue to pray that the Lord would work powerfully among the youngest ones all around us.
Peace and Blessings, Until We Meet Again!
